Community Partners

Our programmes are built on long-term relationships with local partners across Thailand. These partnerships are developed over time and play a central role in how our programmes are delivered. From conservation areas and community groups to local schools and accommodation providers, each partner contributes practical knowledge, local context, and ongoing collaboration.

We work closely with organisations such as Green Beach Resort, which serves as a key programme base, and Ban Ruam Thai Cooperative, where students engage with community-led initiatives. Our conservation work is supported by partnerships with Kui Buri National Park, where students explore human–elephant coexistence through direct engagement with park teams. Alongside this, we work with over 30 rural schools across Thailand, forming the foundation of our service learning programmes.

These partnerships are collaborative rather than one-sided. Students take part in activities that are connected to ongoing projects, while partners help shape experiences that are relevant, practical, and grounded in real-world context.

In Practice
One example is Wat Huay Kaew School, a small rural school that faced closure due to declining student numbers. Through participation in the Food for Thought programme, the school developed a sustainable mushroom project that supported both food production and income generation. Over time, the school continued to build on this independently, strengthening its position within the community and helping secure its future.
